Blog Post About "One Day in The Bay"

My fellow readers, as you can see in the blog post where I have attach my video called "One Day in The Bay" is has a central theme. My theme is to show the people the things you can do on Bahia de Banderas. They're to side to the video. The first part shows and advertises Puerto Vallarta as a calm and beautiful place where people can come and spend their vacation in time to "chill" and rest. Then after showing the beautiful place that is Vallarta, the music changes completely to a different theme, and also the images doo. Suddenly, the music fires up and the video starts showing the fun part of Bahia de Banderas. This is an angle, for young people that want to practise different water sports, such as surfing, kiteboarding and wakeboarding. My objective was to show the different sides of the Bay, both for old people and young.

People want to know, how did I created this video. Basically, it was pretty easy. I first starting by making the music, a mix of "Con Te Partiro" by Andrea Bocelli and "Rock You Like a Hurricane" by The Scorpions. Then, I started using Mac software iMovie to start the video. I obtain images from my classmates and other friends, but I also used a couple of mine. To end the process, I pasted the images and created the video. During the creation process I also added video effects and transitions to make the video more "attention getting." For the last part, I just added credits naming the persons, who images appeared in the video, the music and the creador, which is me.

Today in computers class, we saw a video which shows the major events and documents the Earth in a short period of time of 24hr; however the video is 2:30 minutes. I liked that several stuff from it. For example, it grab my attention really fast with images that have a meaning, really expressive. Another thing I liked about this video was the music they choose, it's appropriated for the theme of the video. From my dislikes, I will have to say that in some occasions, the image stays in text to long, it looses your attention a bit. Another minimum thing that I din't like, was that some images look taking professionally and other look more amateur, this is just because I am perfectionist. Anyway, the theme of this video for me is to show how our world acts, and all our major events that have occur. Like strikes, war, revolutions and other stuff; however they also show good stuff like love, friendship, relationships and more.

During the videos we can see segments that really get our attention, and transmit us a message. We can call them carried images. Some of the carried images, that really make a sense of remorse on the watcher are, unfortunately the bad ones that describe all the bad things our world has. The images/video clips that show war scenes, hunger, suferment, destruction (both caused by humans and nature), poverty, natural disasters and other things, get your attention much faster than other stuff. Even though, the images that show the goodness of our world, can be taken much better with any factor you want, the carried images will always have more impact.

Fuel Efficiency on Transportation

During the past couple of weeks, I have discover great things that happen every day in my live, with out me realizing. For example, how much gas I spend every day coming to school. Something that really shocked me was to find out that costs more for my family to drive me in the Mini Cooper, rather than in the big Hummer of my father. It was shocking to know that we where actually paying more, and we thought we where saving money. Definitely, having my dream car (Audi R8 Spider) will be very expensive, but they well say, "if you have the money to buy the car, you have the money for the gas..." By the other side, having Fuel Efficient Cars will reduce the expenses of my family every year, however they aren't just neither my families or my taste in cars. Actually doing this project is really going to help me in less than 4 months. In less than 4 months, I will turn 16 and I made a deal with my father that states, if I didn't consume any alcohol or drugs when I have reach the age of 16, he will give me a car. Know we can take an inform decision about which car will help us, by saving money in fuel.

Seeing the BP oil spill really caused a great impact at me. So many marine live was lost due to the contamination, and it will take more than 100 years to clean the Gulf of Mexico. I guess I don't think about this when I get in my car, but I think definitely I should because this is what happens due to our fuel addiction.

Fuel Efficiency

In the last 2 computer class, we have been working on taking out the amount of litters our cars use per day, week, and year. The route is simple, one that we use all week, which is our way to school (commute). I live far away from school, so I use high quantities of fuel each school year. For example, my dad uses his Hummer H3 to drive me to school most of the time. He spends 405.15 litters of gas, also he spends $3646.35 to drive me every school year, only for me to study at ASPV. My dream car is an Audi R8 Spider. If God would help me to buy this car, I would have to use 1001 litters of gas to "fire it up" to school, and I will spend around $9008.00 pesos to drive it to school all the school year. My first Fuel Efficient (FE) car is the Toyota Prius. Having this car, it will use 281.2 Litters of gas to drive me to school per year, this will cost $2530.80. For my second FE vehicle I will choose a Smart. This will use 387 Litters of gas per year, with a cost of $3484.85.

Google Earth Tours

After finishing the quiz of computers, all of the class review their Google Earth Tours, saved any new changes and other stuff. After checking that everything was according to plan, each one of us had to rotated to the right to see our fellow classmates tours and later comment them by Blogger; however I am going to star my talking about mine.

My Tour:I really liked the way me tour ended up. My tour reflects a dream of my own, go kiteboarding to the best beaches on the world, such as Cozumel in Mexico, Tarifa in Spain and a lot of other places in Brazil, South Africa and Dominican Republic. I notice also that my tour, and some more not the majority had an automatic way of moving from a spot to another spot. What I mean is that everybody use the mouse and other tools to adjust the location of the tour; however I "Pin" my locations and with a click the software automatically went to the locations. It just make it look more professional. Another thing that make it look more professional was that with each "Pin" it had a mini explanation of why I choose that place or any important information. What I could have changed was the spelling and gramatical errors on my explanations of each location and maybe have put a little more detail in the "Zooms".

Pedro Pablo's Tour: The tour of Pedro Pablo was similar to mine, It was about kiteboarding. The tour of Pedro Pablo was well done, contain everything that was expected from us by the teacher and you can see a little bit of extra effort. I also liked that it was a more simple tour of places to kiteboard; where as mine was to extravagant and really expensive. Pedro Pablo could have corrected simple stuff that would have make his tour better. For example, I will recommend him to use "Pins" at a 100% what they can do. What I mean is that he indeed use them, however he didn't "click" on them, so they were just marks in a map. Also he moved by location to location with the mouse, which made it look really sloppy. For the same reason I encourage him to use the "Pins" correctly.

Debora's Tour: I was really amazed by the tour of Debora. To be honest, it was very well done. I liked that she use the "Pin" trick but what I really liked was that the images were really detail (very organized, and correct zoom so they would look nice and not all full of megapixels). The only thing I didn't like, which is really minimum was that she had the explanations of her tour on the Pins, instead of having a brief description in a "pop-up". This was the only thing, she did a great job.

J: For my first Paragraph I would write about what was my day like, because it's really recent. Everything started at 12:00 am, technically it is the start of the day. At that time I was suffering of sleep depravation. For this reason I was talking by Windows Messenger and by Facebook with a lot of people (95% girls). When the clock hit 2:00 am magically the desire to sleep was rebirth on me, so I went to bed. I had been staying at Mahonry's house for the past 2 days, so at the mooring we woke up and had a healthy breakfast. After we didn't had anything to do, so we just simply played Xbox. We played UFC, The Video Game, this is one of the best games regarding to fights. After Mahonry kicked my ass, not all the time only a 95% of the fights, we started our homework. We did the spanish work, and the the wonderful homework of computers class about Good Read that our best teacher Mr. Pickets left us during the week when we didn't have a class with him. After we call Fideitos (Pedro Pablo) and Perrilla (Eduardo D.) to play a soccer match. I can say that I play good, I would say that not good nor bad. Any way I lost 50 pesos. Time past and my parents came back from GDL and they picked me up from my "foster home". That was pretty much my day, and know i'm doing the computers homework.

O: Theirs a lot of things that I will like to do by my self. Some are in the future and some are more at this time. For example, for the future I dream with becoming a doctor and helping people. Another dream of mine for the futures is to have all what I want. This can include a big house, a boat, a lot of cool cars, a hot wife and other stuff. I will also like to travel around the world. Coming back to the present, I will like to have very good grades this years, for collage applications. The thing that I really want to learn is to kiteboard, since last year. This couldn't by accomplish because I didn't have money to buy my gear.

Y: I believe that I had a lot of stuff that make me special. One of the thinks that I like about my self is that I have a great sense of humor. This means I can make laugh anybody with stuff that are really stupid but I make it funny, thats my magic. Another thing about my sense of humor is that not only I make laugh, but I laugh my self very much of everything. Another thing that I like of my self is that I fight for whats just and right. Also I never stand down on my values, I defend them until the end, which makes me a person with a really big character. One thing that I think that rocks, is that I don't go around with rodeos. I always tell the truth and can't stand people who are fake and double cross you, or that have hypocrisy. They have told me that I have a quality that is really missing in these days, in our generation. Thy have mention that I know what I want, listed above for O, and how to get it.
