My Christmas Vacation

This has been the best winter break I had ever had. I had a great times during the vacations.

My vacations started in Guadalajara, with the annual and traditional Christmas Posada of my family. As I have mention before, every year I, my family does a posada in Guadalajara. This time was in the 21st of December. I had so much fun with my family. We did the traditional games we always do, for example the game of exchanging the good and bad gifts. The next day it was time to come to Puerto Vallarta again: however only parents. I stayed an extra day with my cousins Anahi, Brenda and Danni and their mom because next day I had to get in an airplane to go to Hermosillo, Sonora with my Dad and Sister.

I arrived at Sonora at 10:45 am. In the airport was my Father and Sister waiting for me. Later we went to have breakfast to the best Taco Fish in town, actually their the best I have ever tasted. Sadly, later we had to drop my sister with her mother, so my dad and I could take off to Flagstaff, Arizona towards our adventure of Ski. We decided to drive, because Flagstaff doesn't have a big Airport and there's no way of transportation from Phoenix to Flagstaff. Only by taking a Cab, but it will be very expensive. The drive was good, until we arrived in Nogales, we had to wait two and a half hours to cross into the Unites States. After that issue, everything good back to normal until we started going up in the mountain towards our destiny. Suddenly it we hit a spot where it was snowing really hard, and for precuation we had to go slow. The little piece we were missing to arrive was aproximatley half and hour going in speed limit, we did it in 2 hours. We arrieved to our Hotel and we went direct to bed so we could rest and be prepare for the skining. The next day, the first thing we did was had breakfest really fast and then go to the mountain. After we got some equipment we went up. Unfortunatlly we made a huge mistake, we took the lift that led to the Professianal Site, where actually professional skiers practise. Of course I fall down several times, but my father didn't have a problom. After we ask for some infomation , we went to the hard tracks. It was a bite challenging and fun at the same time. An interesting thing that happen to me was that the Flagstaff Ski team was traying in the same track and the coach saw me skining and asked me if I was interested in joining the team. We stayed their for 4 days. I spend Christmas over there, I had my first White Christmas. When the trip was over, we headed back to Hermosillo, a good and fast drive. Their I stayed for 3 more days and then I cam back to Guadalajara. That same day of my arrival to GDL, my uncle, his girlfriend and I came to Puerto Vallarta. I was in a hurry to arrived because Santa came to Vallarta too.

The next Day, I flew to Mazatlan, Sinaloa. This was a courtesy from the new company my Dad is going to work for. Eventhough it was a buissness trip for my parents, I had a lot of fun. We stayed in the Boutique Hotel of the companie where the rooms are amazing. We were treated like Gods. As it was my first time in Mazatlan, I wanted to do everything that was traditional. Like getting on a Pulmonia, a costume made Taxi of Mazatlan. I stayed there for a week, full of luxeries and acomedations. When I came back to my house, my vacations end. I had to do all the homework that was assinged for the breack.

Roller Coaster

Today instead of normal class we had the opportunity to visit the Roller Coasters created by the 12th Graders in the class of Miss Hecky. All were great but there was one that left everybody stonish. In total they were six groups, a Roller Coaster per group. In total they were six groups, their for six roller coasters. However we only saw five working, the other project was unavaliable for personals reasons of the team. The best project was the one of the new girls, which I can't remember their names. xD It had an amazing engeniring, great theme, and a great effort that was visable for miles. For a plus the marvel didn't went flying, it had good rides every time. In my opinion, regarding the grading rubric it deserves a 60/60. They were other good projects, like the Candy Roller Coaster that was created by Marifer, Erica, Heather, and Lea. Their roller coaster was well plan, and had a lot of spins. It miss a couple of riders, but in the end it work perfectly. According the rubric they would have recieved a 59/60. Maybe I will give them the 60/60 but they didn't gave me a cotton candy. Rafa Aguirre, Paulina, and Salma were another team. Their them was soccer, Mexico in the World Cup. They had a lot of accidents, so it was not well planed/organized;however in the end it work. they will recieve from me a 50/60 for all the problems that it had and it didn't get the attention of many people. Eric's group had a pretty interesting roller coaster;however they couldn't make it work. There for they will get a zero with me.

In conclusion the roller coasters were good in general;however only the Champions (New Girls) could built roller coaster with out putting people in danger.

Analisis About Robotic Guy (Abraham)

Today, instead our regular computers class, which is boring (HAHAHA JUST KIDDING) we had a robotic conference, from Abraham, an ingenire from Tecnologico de Monterrey, which was very interesting, in my opinion. I had to admit that at the beginning I thought that the competition would be of assassin robots with chain saws and flame thorougher like you see in television. Still it was very interesting and I was surprised of what they could do. I was surprised by the light sensor, it was amazing that by the reflection of the light it can know what to do. It let me astonished. I only have a suggestion, that they should do one for junior high students.

My Self

Hi! My name is Francisco , but you can call me Paco as all my friends do. I am 14 years old, about to turn 15. Currently I study in the American School of Puerto Vallarta (ASPV). I have been in this school since I arravied to Puerto Vallarta, curerntly I am studying the eight grade. I live in Puerto Vallarta which is in the coast of the state of Jalisco. I have been living here since I was six years old. My birth town is Guadalajara, the seconds biggest city of Mexico.

I like to do many things during the day. For example I like to go to the gym and practice sports, like Soccer, Basketball, and Volleyball. Another hobbies of mine is to practice guitar (play songs, do songs, and improvise) and listen to music. I like all music, but specially clasic rock. My favorite band is the Scorpions, classic rock group. As any other kid, I like videogames specially violent ones xD. I am a fan of the Call of Duty Series (Call of Duty 4 Modern Warfare is my favorite game.) Another thing I enjoy is to go the beach and chill out. Also go in the water and take a swim.

Know I am going to talk about my family. Where to start, I am the only child in my family. So eventually mi family is very small, only my parents and I, and of course my pets. One dog named Lou, a very fat beagle, and a cat, which I adopted from the street.

Lisiting :D

My first paragraph will be about the effects in our music. My work in general is very good, basing in my criatiry and my class mates. In my song, I didn´t use a lot of effects. I use some, for example copying sounds and using them again further in the song. Another effect I used, was to change the speed of reproduction in some sounds. My final use of effects whas to make the sounds fade in/fade out in various time at the song. From the other song I herd, it was very notacible that, my classmates mostly used the copying effect. Their sound repeated them selfs to much, that in sometime it maded boring. The only thing I could have done was to use more effects. What I am meaning was to expiriment with the effects, have fun. Not only use the three ones I used, and this goes to the other DJ xD.

My class, in my opinion did a mediacore work. Not to good or to bad. I really liked some peoples song, but in general they waren´t to good. Some even were pathetic. What I mean with patetic, is that some people didn´t put a lot of effort to the project and it was lame. I will like to comment, that the people that didn´t do the assigment correctly or lame, shouldn´t get the same grade from the people that did it correctly and put effort to it. Another comment is that next year the expectansis and rubric should be harder so the song will be accaptable.

Final Audacity Post

This assigment has been one of the funest we have ever done in our class. In general it was fun, but I had some troubles thatr cause me to frustated and wanted to distroy my computer. The fustrating moments came when the Audacity, that i have in my computer coulnd´t open music files that warren´t MP3. This made me very mad. i think that the ColegioAmericanoIdol will be Mahonry, hi created an astanding mash-up. For me he will be the winer, but I also think that I have great chances of being the new ColegioAmericanoIdol. I did a great job.

I totally think that you should do it next year, I am 100% sure that the next 8th Graders will love to make their own remix.

My team definitely did fantastic job in their mash ups. In Raul's remix, it is notice right away that he put a lot of effort to it, he did a great job. For Arianne, I didn't get to hear her remix beacuse she didn't do it D: Sofia did a fantastic job. She use famous songs , which make it better, plus she put a lot of effort to it. I think she was the best of our group. Feris, also did a fantastic job. She also use current music, which make it better like Sofia. Even though it was noticeable that she didn't put a lot of effort.

Regarding to me, my Mash up SUCKED. I admit that I could have done a better job than which I did. I feel that I didn´t use proper music to creat a good remix. Also my songs didn´t match. What I mean, is that one was rock (Beat It) and chill music (Viollent Hiil). If we do another project with Audacity, I will totally put a lot more effort.
